AI Architecture for B2B Sales
Part 2. The n8n Workflow Behind Signalleading

This is the real prototype behind Signalleading: the n8n project showing the architecture before it was migrated to Next.js for production.

The n8n prototype behind Signalleading's staged AI flow.

The AI Flow Engineering Design

The AI flow works as follows:

→ Stage 1: Product Category and Requirements

(Look at the product) The AI first learns what's actually being sold, independent of any client or market context.

→ Stage 2: Product ICP and Pain

(Look at the product) From that product understanding, the AI defines the ideal customer profile and the pain points the product is built to solve.

→ Stage 3A: Understand the Target Client

(Look at the client) The AI then researches one target account at a time, independent of the product context established above.

→ ICP Verdict

(Verdict: is the target client our ICP?) Stage 3A is compared against the ICP defined in Stage 2. If the client isn't a fit, the process stops here.

→ Stage 3B: Client Signals via Multi-Filters

(Gather and analyze the client's buying signals) For clients that pass the ICP verdict, the AI gathers and filters real buying signals specific to that account.

→ Sales Strategy Verdict

(Verdict: does our solution match the buying signal?) The findings so far are weighed together into a final sales strategy verdict: Direct, Verify, Cultivate, or Nurture by Marketing.

→ Final Output: Door Opener Draft

Only after all of the above is a door opener drafted, grounded in concrete buying signals and the sales strategy verdict, along with prepared talking points for sales outreach.

Why Multiple Stages, Instead of One Prompt

Why not just ask AI: "Here's my client. Here's my product. Research and draft me the outreach email"?

  • AI Eager to Please
  • AI Tries to Fill the Gap With Guesses
  • Humans Try to Solve Multiple Stages of Analysis in a Single Prompt
  • AI Becomes One More Disconnected Tool
  • Waste of Existing Intelligence
